At Shepherd CCS, we develop the entire CCS value chain, setting us apart in the industry. Our unique approach focuses on the simultaneous development of the entire end-to-end CCS process. From 2022 to 2023, we conducted a comprehensive feasibility study, encompassing CO₂ capture from industrial complexes in Ulsan and Yeosu, South Korea. We established export hub terminals in Ulsan and Yeosu for liquefaction and intermediate storage of CO₂ and refrigerated tankers for transportation of liquified CO₂ from South Korea to Malaysia. Once liquified CO₂ terminal is received from import terminal in Sarawak, Malaysia, it then will be stored permanently in saline aquifers and depleted gas fields. This holistic approach to CCS value chain development minimizes the risk of the “chicken-or-egg” dilemma often encountered by many CCS projects. By addressing every stage of CCS simultaneously, we ensure the efficient and effective implementation of carbon capture and storage solutions, advancing towards a sustainable future.
