Mr. Yeonwoo Choi assumed the position of the Director General for Energy Policy at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy in South Korea in October, 2023. He oversees energy policy development in the country. Prior to this role, Mr. Yeonwoo Choi served several notable roles including the Director General for Renewable Energy Policy and Director General for Strategy and Planning at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. Mr. Yeon Woo Choi holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, and a master’s degree in Political Science from Carnegie Mellon University, in the USA.

최연우 국장은 2023년 10월 산업통상자원부 에너지정책관으로 부임하여, 대한민국 에너지정책을 총괄하고 있습니다. 그는 산업통상자원부 기획재정담당관, 재생에너지정책관 등 주요 보직을 두루 거쳤습니다. 최연우 에너지정책관은 서울 연세대학교에서 경제학 학위를 취득하였고, 미국 카네기멜런 대학교 (Carnegie Mellon University) 에서 정치학 석사학위를 취득했습니다.
