Mr. Sukyung Hong assumed his role as the Director of the Energy Technology Division at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy in South Korea on September, 2022. His current portfolios include formulating development policies and strategies in energy technology, including Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage. With a distinguished career that began in 2006, Mr. Sukyung Hong has held notable positions across various divisions within the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, including semiconductors & software, regional industries, industrial design, and planning & budget division. Mr. Sukyung Hong holds a bachelor’s degree in Physics from Seoul National University in 2004, and he completed his Master’s degree in Economics from Royal Holloway, University of London, in 2021.

홍수경 과장은 2022년 9월 산업통상자원부 에너지기술과장으로 부임하여, 대한민국의 탄소 포집•활용•저장 기술을 포함한 다양한 에너지 기술 개발 정책과 전략을 수립하고 있습니다. 2006년 공직 생활을 시작으로, 반도체 및 소프트웨어, 지역 산업, 산업 디자인, 기획 및 예산 등을 포함하여 산업통상자원부 내 다양한 부서에서 주요 업무를 담당했습니다. 홍수경 과장은 2004년 서울대학교에서 물리학 학위를 취득하였고, 2021년 로열 홀러웨이 런던대학교 (Royal Holloway, University of London)에서 경제학 석사 학위를 취득했습니다.
